RMHC Grants
RMHC of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts invests in children's futures by supporting the Ronald McDonald House® of Connecticut in New Haven and the Ronald McDonald House® of Springfield, Massachusetts , and making grants to non-profit organizations (must be 501c(3)) whose programs help children reach their fullest potential. These grants fall into three distinct areas: 1) education; 2) health care and medical research; and 3) civic and social services.
Grant requests must meet the following criteria:
- Consistent and effective management;
- A specific project design with clear, explicitly defined goals and objectives;
- A broad base of funding support; and
- The ability to respond to the needs of specific groups of children in a manner that yields measurable results.
Funding is not intended for the following:
- Projects solely involved in capital funding or building campaigns;
- Endowment campaigns, general administrative costs;
- Advertising or fundraising drives;
- Travel or salaries for staff or individuals;
- Partisan, political, or denominational programs, intermediary funding agencies;
- Government-funded programs;
- Day care;
- Subsidiary organizations.
Each project submitted will be evaluated by the RMHC Board of Directors. Applicants will be notified in writing of decisions made.
